The new addition to my collection of sculpture for the country home is a Capercaillie cock and hen. He is calling and showing the feathers on his neck and, of course, displaying his magnificent tail.
His patina is dark black brown with slight white markings.
The Hen is a lot lighter in colour and quite alert to was is going on.
As all of my pieces they are hot cast bronze made in the lost wax tradition and this is the very first casting. They are signed and numbered G 1/9.
I am very pleased with the way they have turned out – I hope you agree.
